PRESENTATION SUMMARY
The EcoPlex development was one of the first Class A, multi-tenanted green office buildings of its kind in Palm Beach County and among the largest to adopt sustainable building practices in Florida. EcoPlex is also one of the first projects in Palm Beach County to be registered with the U.S. Green Building Council and designed to achieve a Silver LEED rating, a mark of environmental accomplishment. Frank Navarro, Navarro Lowrey’s Managing Principal, described the evolution of the EcoPlex development concept, the team approach used to create this sustainable project, the project’s systems and amenities, and strategies that were ultimately rejected or incorporated into EcoPlex in an effort to achieve the highest possible LEED Certification while still offering the most efficient and profitable workspace environment in the market.

SPEAKER BACKGROUND
Frank E. Navarro is co-founder and president of Navarro Lowrey, Inc., leading the company’s business ventures while also developing and executing new business strategies. A Palm Beach County resident for more than 30 years, he began his career as an architect, spending 10 years leading projects in Florida, Virginia and Colorado. As company president, Mr. Navarro is focused on innovative building programs, leading the effort to establish the Green Initiative of Navarro Lowrey, Inc. He earned his MBA in Finance and Real Estate from Columbia University.
